They get five stars just because their margaritas are so amazing! Their food is really good too. It’s gets really busy in the evening. But worth the wait. Definitely recommend this place.

Menu very limited. Food wasn't as good as I expected. The bean and cheese enchilada barely had cheese. It was a tortilla with just beans in it. I mentioned this to the waiter who offered to refund which was great :) customer service was good.

I really loved their dishes. I always get excellent customer service there. The place is well organised and the employees are always super nice. Will visit here again.

I was in Philadelphia for professional reasons. My friend flew all the way from London to come join me but only really because of El Vez. The food was absolutely delicious and suddenly my friend didn’t seem that crazy. Arguably one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. Needless to say we came more than once. The nachos were absolutely delicious and a must have. The interior is well decorated and staff are very friendly. Highly recommend

They offer a fantastic variety of fresh food. I love dining here. Staff members are always very welcoming, pricing is affordable and the spot is always well organised.

Definitely an experience. The guacamole is amazing and so is the taco sampler. Get there early and try to find a seat at the bar. The wait is usually long but so worth it.

Was my first time in Philly, loving Mexican food this place was in walking distance from my hotel. First off they were slammed on a Thursday night, great sign. Sat at the bar because it was just me. Ordered the house margarita which was probably the beat "house margarita" I have ever had so order it! I had the chicken tacos for dinner and the chicken had amazing flavor, regretting not getting the sampler so that I could try other proteins but the chicken tacos did not disappoint! Ordered a side of black beans and rice and again they did not disappoint. They make their rice like I do, seems that they put cilantro in the rice as well which is the way to go. Beans were fresh too, did not have that flavor of tin that you get from canned beans. I will be back the next time I am in town, go check it out.

Had a excellent experience in this place with my son. The food comes out rapidly and the service is just fantastic. Prices are convenient.

Excellent guacamole with goat cheese and pepper flakes. Taco sampler is delicious. Who doesn't like pitchers of margaritas.

Its a nice place where you can look for good food and good service. We were served by “Remy” today. He helped us with good vegetarian options and with drinks recommendations as well. Remy will go long way as he is very good at what he is doing. Food tasted too good and we believe it was priced were fairly as compared to its quantity. I believe drinks were more pricey but I am will to ignore it for the food and services they offer.

This is my favorite place to get a drink in Philly. After such a disappointing experience at another happy hour spot nearby. Decided to come here after. This review is solely for the drinks. I sat at the bar on a Thursday night and had a great time. The experience was top notch good fun vibes. The bartenders were on point and was always there if you needed anything. The margaritas were strong, nachos were good also. You can't go wrong. Will definitely return back on my next trip

Very very good food, and great service, a bit on more expensive end but that is expected. Would definitely recommend. The shrimp enchiladas were phenomenal and the ambiance is great.

Great food, good margaritas and cocktails. High recommend the nachos, enchiladas, and creamy rice. Frozen orange marg wasn't my favorite, but I've definitely enjoyed all the other drinks I've tried here. Bartenders are always helpful and quick with a pour!

Great atmosphere with a hip vibe. The food is excellent. Lots of options, especially tacos anyway you like them! The bar is hopping with 3 or 4 bartenders working hard to get customers served. The servers are happy and friendly. They have great energy and makes the experience even better!

What a beautiful restaurant as well as the food was super delicious. The atmosphere was cool enough. The staff was nice and the way they serve their customer was appreciable. The service was very quick and relevant. as per my experience i would like to recommend this place.

Love the food. Spotted it while we were walking to Macy’s nearby and decided to give it a try. There was a lot of wait time. Good service and variety of food options to try. Prices aren’t cheap but it’s totally worth it. I recommend👍🏻

Atmosphere, ambiance, and design was truly remarkable. The food was great, but not world class.

Went there this past Saturday with my Mom, friend, -and cousin and we loved it. All three of us had Nachos and guchome as our apitizer and we thought it was out of this world. Then My Friend, Cousin, and I had the best Chicken Tacos ever. Finally, My cousin and I had Carmel ice cream and my friend had vanilla ice cream which we all enjoyed. Finally, I definitely recommend to bring your family and friends here.

Great food, great employee, and great area. Only negative is that it's just about always packed, but that goes to show to food is excellent. Definitely Recommend. FAIR WARNING, NO PARKING, MUST USE NEARBY PARKING LOT. Other than that I love it!

Such a fun, hip and vibrant place to dine!! I really enjoyed my brunch experience at El Vez. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed all the beeyutiful colors such as purple, orange, green and yellow. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive when taking our orders.

It was nice. I'd say it was a run of the mill Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was cool and it obviously hip but it was pricey and the food was just OK.

Meh, it was fine. Steak tacos came out kinda cold. Thought there would be rice or at least a lime on the side, but nope.Service was great.

Love el vez. I think a few quality items could be improved, but it was happy hour and when you're slammed, that's just the nature of the beast. Will certainly be back.

Excellent Mexican food. My group and I tried 3 different types of guacamole, several different taco types, and steak fajitas. All of us were truly impressed. All components of each meal were flavorful and complemented each other well. Contestant as one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to.

I come to this special place often because I enjoy the special atmosphere that is unique to this place. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and qualified. The service is very rapid. Most important, the food they cook is exceptionaly good. I ate there more than once and I was always joyful. The price is reasobable. I highly suggest this place to to all.

The food was amazing. Just great!! We had to wait 3 hrs after we made reservations due to me deleting my text by accident. I'm Not sure if it's busy like it was Saturday night all the time because we were in town to visit family but it was crazy busy. Me and my family went to a pub next door to pass time but once we got there our food and drink orders were placed our waitress was great and fast. It was one of the best Mexican meals I've had in a while and well worth the wait.

My wife and I happened on this place before going to the GT-Temple football game (we're ATLiens). I'm so glad we did. The tacos are to die for. Get them. You will not be disappointed. The decor is fun and it's really conveniently located if you're visiting at least. Definitely will return if we make it back up there.

I like this place! They prepare excellent dishes, their menu is large, The chief cook in that restaurant is well trained, I love a lot trying all their dishes. The dishes are always tasty, the service towards the guests is good. I go often to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.

El Vez is my favorite restaurant. Every time I’m in Philly I try to snag a reservation. El Vez has great guac, chips, sangria, and chicken adobo tacos. You’ll need a reservation to eat here but it’s so worth it. You can easily book on open table. Best restaurant in my opinion!

Great food and great service. We ordered a chicken fajita. It came with five kinds of sauces. One of them was the special sauce. It was spicy and sweet, with a hint of sour. I really liked it. Besides, all the veggies in the platter tastes really good. I love the grilled onions inside. The chicken was also well cooked. A little bit dry tough.The waiter was really welcoming and attentive. Overall a good experience.

I visited Philadelphia from out of town and made reservations. Phenomenal food! Phenomenal staff! Phenomenal experience! Definitely coming back just to eat here again!

Oh my!! What a great meal! (and I don’t much like “Mexican food”)We took our out of town friends, had spectacular salsa and chips, salads with a cumin vinaigrette (will try to recreate at home!), perfectly cooked red snapper with beautiful green rice! The meat eaters had good sized portions of carne asada which they snarfed up without offering to share!Service was quick, professional and attentive even though we were all doing the Restaurant Week limited menu! Lots of love and solidarity among the staff (wearing t-shirts with photos of their co-workers) Another restaurant to add to “My Favorites” list!

El Vez is awesome! Food is really good. Staff are all very friendly and on-top of it. It does get really really crowded though. So if you're not into large dining spaces with lots of people, probably not for you. Otherwise and great spot for friends and groups!

We showed up without a reservation and the wait was short. Comfortable outdoor seating and quick, attentive, service; all staff were great. The food came out hot & so tasty and the drinks were yummy too. Looking forward to our next visit.

The food was great. Awesome flavors in the nachos and the fundido. I really liked the ambiance and the feel of the restaurant.Only complaint is that the meal took quite a bit to arrive. My server was incredible, however.

This place is pretty cool. Has a cool look to it and lots of good food. The wait to get in and for the food was a little to long, but wasn't horrible. Our waitress was great though. Tried a number of different things and found all of it to be quite fresh and good. Cool to people watch and check out the surroundings as well. Happening place with a good vibe. Would come back and try again!
